Freelance Fashion/Internet Retail Opportunity.
We are looking for a part time, experienced Fashion PR person to launch English Threads www.englishthreads.com to a UK & International arena during the former half of 2012.
English Threads sell relevant, quirky T-Shirts solely from our website.
At this stage the working ‘hook’ title for PR is ‘All Eyes on London’
We are looking for someone to work around 10 hours a week.
The PR and Marketing of the product is a sensitive area and requires much creativity with messaging along with knowledge and contacts. More information is available on this when required.
Applicants with an interest in the position must have the following experience:
• International Internet Fashion retail experience
• Well versed in all aspects of Social Media
• An established and varied selection of contacts within the fashion and magazine world
• To be able to formulate a precise PR plan for all territories decided upon, a knowledge of their publications and contacts with UK & overseas journalists
• Access to the Japanese market as this is a key area for us
• The ability to get the product to key people - a network of movers, shakers and celebrities
• The applicant will have a very close working relationship with Stephen Shotton, the Director of English Threads
• We believe the potential to launch the brand in 2012 is enormous and would want whoever got involved to feel the passion and really want to make this work. Anyone interested should digest the website and see if they feel the potential of the products we are selling under the London Threads banner
• We will need guidance and a list of things to do for the other hours of the week as it will be our full time job. We would require someone to be able to delegate the more laborious/easy work onto us so that their time can best be spent using their skill base to promote English Threads.
To be discussed:
At the moment we are intending to provide around 500 free T-Shirts to be sent/given out to the most relevant people. This is to include all targeted magazines and key people but not necessarily magazine competitions.
I would prefer the applicant to be based on London unless persuaded otherwise. We are based in the Cotswolds and the candidate may have to be prepared to visit our office now and again. There is a direct train from London Paddington to near the office.
Payment to be discussed on a 10 hour per week basis from end of Jan through to end of July. Depending on experience we will be offering £350 - £500 per 10 hour week.
